One of the guys here (engineer ofcourse!) has a theory that what differentiates men from women is that a man can name one (1) all time favourite band/music group...and a woman can't narrow it to one.

I think he's oversimplistic and entirely too rigid, but it's gotten me thinking about what my favourites are. I have, of course, a rotation of new and old stuff...but there are some favourites I always go back to. Like: Jeff Buckley, Paul Kelly, Sting, Harry Connick Jr, Ben Folds (Five), anything written by Gershwin, Beatles, Metallica....

Pretty pedestrian I guess.

That's not to say that I don't form some temporary obsessions...like recently I've been listening to this when I'm commuting.
