So, the red ale has been bottled...now it's a two week wait until we get to test it!

This weekend I think we're going to do a bit of an experiment and make a coffee chocolate stout with a view to letting it sit in the bottles for a couple months so we can enjoy when D's parents are here. His mum and I enjoy a nice stout.

So far, the vanilla-cherry-limeades still haven't fully carbonated.....hopefully I won't have to jimmy them up with some more yeast.

Anyways, for those of you on this side of the globe....is there any reason to be eating anything other than home-made pico de gallo on warm summer nights? Especially when it's as simple as dicing and throwing together homegrown tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, salt and lime. Just mix and add until you get the just right combination of tangy-soury-savoury-freshness that you crave. If you are feeling really fancy-pants then throw in a diced avocado. Otherwise, ignore all strange stares and eat it straight out of the bowl with a spoon (oh, ok, fine, with corn chips if you insist).
